2 Months

This post is really really late...  I tried so hard to remember to get some cute pictures of Olivia on her 2 month birthday but it just didn't happen, then I tried to remember to do it when we got back to Utah after Christmas but I just had so much going on with unpacking and getting doctor things taken care of that it just completely slipped my mind.

Nate did take this one picture of her on the 26th during her morning nap

Olivia is just the sweetest baby in the whole world!  She really hasn't been too fussy of a baby and I love that.  She just had her 2 month Doctor visit last week and she's looking great!

New Stats:
Weight - 10 lbs, 6 oz (still the 16th percentile)
Length - 22 in (15th percentile, 10th last time)
Head - 15 in (33rd percentile, huge jump! 6th last time)

She also got a whole bunch of immunizations at this visit too!  She got Hepatitis B, Polio, Pneumococcal Disease, DTaP, Rotavirus, and Hib.  Poor thing got 3 shots and one oral.  She handled them like a trooper though.  She cried when she got poked but after some snuggles she was ok.  We got her some Tylenol like the nurse said and she slept most of the day.  She did seem pretty needy for a couple days though.  She wanted more snuggles than usual and ate less but more frequently.

She has also become a very curious baby, she is always wanting to stand up and see everything around her.  She loves to play with her Daddy in the mornings after breakfast, very smiley and babbles a lot.  Yesterday she discovered her reflection in the mirror.  She sat there smiling and talking to herself, it was so cute!  She started wearing all 0-3 month size, some things are still huge on her though.  She finally outgrew all of her preemie clothes but the newborn size onesies still fit her the best.  She can do a full upper body push up during tummy time now, sometimes she even pushes up so much that her hips go up too.  She is so strong!  Love, love, LOVES taking baths!  It doesn't matter what kind of mood she's in before, she is always happy in the bath, kicking and splashing.

I just can't believe how much she is already growing up and it's only been 2 months!  Bring on the next month!

Merry December PhotoDump to you, Blogger!

Before I go into the Christmas post, I figured I'd share all these random photos taken throughout the month of December that don't really belong to a post on their own.  Enjoy!

Nate does a lot of little photo shoots with her on his cell phone

I love her face in this one!  You don't mess with her, she will cut you.

Working on those smiles

The picture on the left is of Nate as a baby, she looks a lot like him!

I promise, she did this all by herself, no posing!

I don't know what it is about Santa but apparently even a 6 week old baby who shouldn't know any better is terrified of him!  Note: She was perfectly happy before we handed her over and was just fine as soon as we took her back, just didn't like santa...

Hanging out in her Bumbo after Christmas, she really loves this thing.  Probably because she likes to be able to see what's going on and it helps her sit up.

1 Month Old

On November 26th, Olivia turned 1 month old!  To celebrate, we did a little photo shoot.  Here are the pictures!

After we got ready for the day

Savannah came to visit us later and helped me with the pictures

I just love little ruffly bums!

The Blowout that Just Wouldn't Stop Giving...

So I am still horribly behind in getting posts up but I promise I'm trying!  We only have one working computer and it's Nate's work computer so I have limited access.
Anyways, a few days after Thanksgiving, Olivia had her first blowout!  Apparently all that extra food for the holiday put her little colon in overdrive!

Sorry it's not the clearest of pictures, it was taken on a cell phone cause that's what we had ready

So when I went to change her out of her yucky clothes, she managed to wiggle the mess all over her back.  After getting her onesie off, I took the diaper off and started trying to wipe everything clean.  Of course, as soon as I lifted her legs up to wipe her bum, she started to pee, causing all the poo to run down her front and get everywhere!  Of course at this point I gave up with the wipes and tossed her in a bath.  Yeah, I'm pretty sure a seasoned mother would have handled that one better...

Olivia's Blessing

We had a lot of family visiting us for Thanksgiving weekend so we decided it would be a great time to have Olivia's blessing.  We had it the Sunday right after Thanksgiving in my Grandmother's house.  It was fun to have everyone together for such an exciting occasion

Nate's family that was able to come out for the blessing

I love this picture of her

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we had dinner with our good friends Nick and Chelsey and their new baby Jade.  It was an amazingly delicious feast!

Nate brined the turkey - SO GOOD

Nate's full plate

The babies hanging out together while we ate

So happy sitting with her Daddy!

We also got the chance to take some family pictures for the first time with all 3 of us.  For once I wasn't the goofy looking one in every picture!  Nate and Olivia also had their fair share of non-photogenic faces.

 This one's my favorite

We got photo bombed by Indie

Olivia decided to wave at the camera in this one :)

First Doctor Visit

Olivia had her first Dr. appointment a few days after she got out of the NICU.  Some of the concerns that they had in the NICU were that they thought she wasn't gaining weight fast enough and that her temp was still not quite as warm as they wanted so I was a little concerned going into the appointment.  The doctor definitely put my mind as ease while he was talking to us.  He said that in the NICU they tend to be a little overly cautious and that we really didn't need to be worried about her progression because everything looked just fine to him.  And as for her temperature, he wasn't worried about that either.  He said as long as she's acting normal and doesn't seem sick that her temp would level out all by itself, which it has.

At her appointment she weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, which put her back up to her birth weight and in the 16th percentile.  A week later the doctor wanted us to come in just to do a weight check and at that time she weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz.  She is definitely growing just fine!

Her head circumference was in the 6th percentile, I want to say it was 13.5 in but I can't find the paper so I could be totally wrong about that.  The percentile is correct though.

She was still 19 in, which was her birth length, putting her in the 10th percentile for length.

She is just the sweetest little baby girl and we love her to death!

First Week Home

A random collection of pictures from Olivia's first week at home (her 2 week of life).

Tummy Time!

Her zombie pose, she does this a lot, it's so funny :)

Love her face!

First bath at home, don't mind my makeshift blurring

About to leave for her first doctor visit.  This outfit was kind of huge so she looks like a baby oompa loompa haha

Snuggles

Her first snow day!

All bundled up and ready to go, I know I keep saying it but I sure do love this kid!

Coming Home

After 6 days in the NICU we finally got to bring Olivia home!  We didn't get that many pictures of us leaving the hospital because we were in a hurry to get out of there before they changed their mind!

Getting her dressed

Hanging out with her Daddy while I talked to the nurses

I can't believe how little this baby is!  Please ignore my huge belly here, I'd just barely had a baby after all...

Getting all loaded into the carseat

Her first time outside of the hospital!

Sleeping in her own bed for the first time

Getting a MUCH needed manicure.  We just love having this sweet girl at home where she belongs :)
